Starting Stage of the Serial Nomination
for the World Natural Heritage of China Danxia

Jan. 8th to 23rd, 2008
The leading group the nomination organized the domestic experts to carry out preliminary inspection and assessment on each nominated site. At this stage, most of the sites have acted based on the work frame of the Emei Conference and achieved remarkable results.

January to April, 2008
All nominated sites carried out basic research on the geological features, biodiversity, heritage protection and management planning, heritage site renovation planning, construction of the protection and monitoring facilities as well as other propaganda activities.

13th to18th April, 2008
The Ministry of Construction held a nomination document evaluating council and international expert consultation meeting in Hangzhou, and arranges the working plan for the future work.

Early Jun. 2008
The 3rd revised manuscript of the comprehensive text finished by Sun Yat-sen University. And during June 16th to 18th, demonstration meeting held in Changsha.

Late Jun. 2008
The 4th revised manuscript of the comprehensive text and primary text translation finished by Sun Yat-sen University

Aug. 3rd to 4th, 2008
International Expert Manuscript Meeting of the Comprehensive Text held in Taining.

Aug. 16th to 20th
The investigation revising work of the 5th revised manuscript of the Comprehensive Text carried out in Changsha. And the translation work finished on Aug. 26th.

Early Sep. 2008
Revising work of the English version of the Comprehensive Text finished by Paul Dingwall, experts of IUCN.

Mid Sep. 2008
Chris Wood, experts of IUCN, finished the revising work of the International comparative analysis.

Sep. 17th to 18th, 2008
The Ministry of Construction organized international experts to review the nomination project in Kunming. Late September, Sun Yat-sen University finished the 6th revised manuscript of the comprehensive text and submitted to the Ministry of Construction.

Oct. 2008
Sun Yat-sen University finished the draft of protection and management planning for the serial nomination property.

Dec.29, 2008
The men at the wheel of each nominated site gathered in Changsha, and discussed the compilation of the final attachment materials.?

Jan. 5th to 15th, 2009
Experts gathered in Changsha, carried out argumentation on the protection planning, and compiled the attachment materials. The 7th revised manuscript of the comprehensive text and compilation of the final attachment materials finished on Jan. 14th, and published on 15th.

Jan. 16th to 19th, 2009
International Workshop of China's World Natural and Mixed Heritage Tentative List held in Beijing.
On Jan.19th, the meeting determined to reduce the composition series from 9 to 6 sites. The 8th revise and the attachment materials finished during 19th to 23rd.

Jan. 23rd, 2009
The final text signed by the Minister of the Ministry of Construction and submitted to the State Council.

Jan. 24th
All the materials of China Danxia sent to the World Heritage Center, and served on the 28th.
