Introduction of Professor Feng Jinglan
Feng Jinglan(1898.3.9～1976.9.12), born in Tanghe, Henan province. Since 1916, he studied Preparatory Course in Peking University, the he studied in the Mining Institute of Colorado, USA in 1918, he got the master degree and mine engineer professional title of Columbia University. He came back China in 1923, and successively taught in Zhongzhou University, Sun Yat-Sen University, Beiyang University of Tianjing, Tsinghua University, Southwest United University, Yunnan University. After 1949, Mr Feng Jinglan successively worked in Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Geology, geological work planning committee of China, planning committee of Yellow River. He was engaged as Academician of Chinese Academy of Science.
Mr Feng Jinglan contributed to the geological project for 53 years and had lots of achievements, including the geology of Guangdong and Guangxi, DanXia landform, copper of Sichuan-Xikang-Yunnan Province, mine of west Henan, geology along the railway and highroad, geology and physiognomy of gold mine, geology of Yellow River and Heilong river area, the new Tectonic Movement and Engineering Geology and so on.
